Welcome Luisa Battistella

The Department of Pathology is pleased to announce that Luisa Battistella joined the Medical Laboratory Sciences Division as an Associate Professor. Luisa will be the contact for the Advanced Practice Laboratory upon its opening. 

Luisa comes to the University of Utah after teaching Clinical Chemistry at West Virginia University. Before her time there, Luisa worked at the University of Southern California. 

After living on both the East and the West Coast, Luisa made the move to Salt Lake City with her family to teach in the MLS program. Luisa says that she was positively impressed with the University of Utah and the MLS program and thought this was a perfect opportunity for her and her family.
