The Division of Anatomic Pathology & Molecular Oncology provides a full range of consultative and diagnostic services. With thirty expert faculty, the Division spans surgical pathology, cytopathology, molecular oncology, and autopsy pathology — combining rigorous clinical care with world-class research and graduate medical education.
The Molecular Oncology Laboratory at ARUP is one of the leading laboratories of its kind in the world, offering next-generation sequencing, Nanostring, Sequenom, digital droplet PCR, and automated FISH imaging.
What we do
Faculty in the Division
Patient Care
Diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic care through morphologic diagnoses, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, FISH, electron microscopy, immunofluorescence, and a full spectrum of molecular analyses.
Research
Vibrant programs in diagnosis, prognosis, and disease mechanisms. The Division runs the Biorepository and Molecular Pathology shared resource at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Education
Training pathology residents, fellows, medical students, and graduate students through fellowship programs in cytopathology, surgical pathology, GI/hepatic/pancreaticobiliary pathology, and neuropathology.
