Meet Dr. Changhong Xing

The Department of Pathology welcomes Changhong Xing, MD, PhD to the faculty. Dr. Xing joined the Anatomic Pathology & Molecular Oncology Division in July 2023 as an Assistant Professor and specializes in neuropathology.

Dr. Xing comes to Utah from Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where she started out as a postdoctoral research fellow and was eventually promoted to Assistant Professor. Prior to that, she completed her residency training in anatomical pathology and fellowship in neuropathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

She was drawn to the University of Utah and ARUP by the department's support for her basic/translational research, as well as the natural settings in Utah. Dr. Xing remarks that Salt Lake City is beginning to feel like her new hometown.

Outside of work, Dr. Xing enjoys reading and travel.
