Requirements

  • Applicants must hold an MD or PhD or other doctoral degree in chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Applicants must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 30 semester hours in undergraduate and/or graduate level chemistry or biochemistry instruction prior to admission into the program

J-1 Visa

The J-1 visa is the required visa for international trainees. This policy is governed by the University of Utah Office of Graduate Medical Education and applies to all Department of Pathology fellowships, regardless of program accreditation or associated degree type.

Application Materials

The following materials must be submitted:

  • Letter of interest
  • CV (resume)
  • Copies of college transcripts showing 30 semester hours (or equivalent) of undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in analytic, organic, physical, or general chemistry, or biochemistry courses

Applications should be submitted to Program Coordinator Rebecca Holloway.

The use of a credential evaluation service is encouraged for transcripts received from academic institutions outside the US or Canada. Application materials are due by August 10th of the year preceding the July start date.
